The Week’s Highlights…

on May 13, 2012

I am halfway through writing a more detailed post about one of this weeks visits but to keep it readable this means leaving out lots of this week’s other ‘occurrences’ so here’s a quick run through:

  • Forgot how to use his washing machine.
  • Forgot he had a tumble dryer (“It’s in your garage.”  “Do I have a garage?”)
  • No. 1 Son phoned.  F i L was so gob-smacked by this he noted it on his calendar!
  • Forgot what he had for dinner within 30 minutes.  (“Fish & chips.”  It was actually 4 sausages, 2 eggs, potatoes and baked beans)
  • Forgot his brother had died (We are grateful he had not phoned his brother’s partner asking to speak to his brother)  See The Funeral Trip (day 1) & The Funeral Trip (day 2)

On a side note, No. 3 Son (whose life is so hard (NOT) he is known by F i L as ‘Poor [No. 3 Son]’),

who we keep being told by F i L is ‘really struggling’,

who visits F i L once or twice a month but doesn’t offer any practical assistance, whereas we visit at least 3 times a week and do everything

He has been bought it by his wife’s mother who also bails them out financially.

I am now officially declaring karma a crock of poo.  It doesn’t seem to matter how much good you do in this world.  The selfish always gain more than the rest!
